- Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, (Heb 12:2)
Phil 3:8-9,12, Jn 17:3, 1 Jn 5:20
We believe that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus will make our faith more perfect. So, we need to look deeply at Jesus who is the Christ. (Heb 12:2)
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Nothing in the world can compare to knowing Jesus Christ. (Phil 3:8-9,12)
Phil 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Eternal life is to know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He have sent. (Jn 17:3, 1 Jn 5:20)
Jn 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
1 Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
