1. The meaning of the Passover: God saves us by the blood of Christ (Ex 12:13)
    Ex 12:25-27, Rom 8:1-2, 1 Cor 5:7, 1 Pt 1:18-19

The plague did not happen to the Israelites who put the blood of the Passover lamb on their doorposts. (Ex 12:13)

Ex 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The meaning of the Passover is that the people of Israel were saved from the hand of Pharaoh through the blood of the Lamb. And we must pass on the meaning of this Passover to our descendants. (Ex 12:25-27)

Ex 12:25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Jesus is the Passover Lamb of God who has set us free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2)

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

As the Passover Lamb, Jesus shed His blood for us to redeem us. (1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Pet 1:18-19)

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

1 Pet 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
