1. Christ as the burnt offering (Ex 29:42)
    Phil 2:8, Jn 18:11, Heb 10:7-10

In the Old Testament, God had the Israelites offer burnt offerings in the tabernacle, and there he met them. (Ex 29:42)

Ex 29:42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.

In order to save us, Jesus obeyed God even to the point of death and became a burnt offering. (Phil 2:8, John 18:11, Hebrews 10:7-10)

Phil 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

John 18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
