The life of the body is in the blood. So, to save a sinner, an innocent person must shed his blood for him. (Lev 17:11, Gen 9:6, Heb 9:13,22)
Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Gen 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Jesus shed His blood to save us sinners. (Hebrews 13:12, Matthew 26:28, Romans 3:25, Romans 5:9, Ephesians 1:7, Col 1:20, 1 John 1:7, Revelation 1:5)
Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
