1. Balaam’s prophecy of Christ (Num 24:17)
    Mt 2:2, Rev 22:16, Gen 49:10

In the Old Testament, the prophet Balaam prophesied that Christ would come as a descendant of Jacob. (Numbers 24:17)

Numbers 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

In the Old Testament, it was foretold that Christ would come as a descendant of Judah. (Gen 49:10)

Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Jesus is the Christ who came from the descendants of Judas among the sons of Jacob. (Mt 1:1-2, 16)

Mt 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

The three wise men saw the stars and, knowing that Christ was born, came to Israel to worship Christ. (Matthew 2:2)

Matthew 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Jesus is the root and offspring of David, the Christ, the bright and morning star. (Rev 22:16)

Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
