1. Christ, the true King who will guide us (Judg 21:25)

In the Old Testament, in the period of Judges, the people of Israel did what was right in their eyes because there was no true king. (Judges 21:25, Judges 17:6)

Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

In the Old Testament, it was foretold that Christ would come as the true King. (Mt 21:5)

Mt 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Jesus is the Christ who came as the true King as a descendant of David. (Acts 13:20-23)

Acts 13:20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

Jesus is the Christ, the true King, riding on a donkey as prophesied in the Old Testament. (John 12:13-15)

John 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.

Jesus came to this earth as the King of the Jews and the King of kings. (Matthew 2:1-2)

Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Jesus revealed to the Roman governor that he was the King of the Jews. (Matthew 27:11, Mark 15:2, Luke 23:3, John 18:37)

Matthew 27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Mark 15:2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.

Luke 23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings. (Rev 17:14, Rev 19:16)

Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
