1. Christ who was completely obedient to God (1 Kings 9:4-5)

In the Old Testament, God told King Solomon that if King Solomon obeyed God completely, he would establish his throne forever. (1 Kings 9:4-5)

1 Kings 9:4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

Jesus died on the cross for us in complete obedience to the will of God. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, John 6:38,-39, Matthew 26:39, John 19:30, Hebrews 15:8, Romans 5:19)

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
