1. Now we ask of God in Jesus’ name. (2 Chr 17:4-5)

In the Old Testament, King Jehoshaphat did not ask the Baals, but did God’s commandments and asked God. (2 Chronicles 17:4-5)

2 Chronicles 17:4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

The only mediator between God and us is Jesus the Christ. (1 Tim 2:5, John 14:6)

1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If we ask God in the name of Jesus, Jesus will grant us. (John 14:13-14)

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
